That day, Camilo dropped his infant daughter at his wife’s office at 2801 SW 31st Ave around 10:30 a.m. He noticed that he had left the baby’s pacifier in his car. Subsequently, Salazar went outside to retrieve it, but he never returned.
Despite an exhaustive 8-hour search, the police found no signs of anything suspicious following his disappearance.
The next day, the media contacted the police about a burning body seen at Okeechobee Road and Northwest 138th Avenue the previous night.
Following that, the body was sent for examination, and the doctor identified it as Camilo Salazar’s.
